Catching Feelings | Episode 6: That’s a Preference, That’s a Problem

Six-foot-plus, good credit, own place, no drama. Go down your list and count how many of those are about who somebody actually is.

The Bible introduces a man in two verses. Verse 2 is the resume — very wealthy, three thousand sheep, a thousand goats. Verse 3 is the man — surly and mean in his dealings.

We read verse 2 and never make it to verse 3.

And nobody in that story was fooled. His staff worked around him. His wife said he was just like his name. The information was available — it always is.

This one is about telling the difference between something that will annoy you and something that will cost you. A preference is something you don’t like. A problem is something you’ll still be managing at sixty.

The question: Which of my dealbreakers are actually about character?
