Join us for an evening of food, fellowship, and celebration as John Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church kicks off the Michigan Annual Conference with a Community Block Party on Wednesday, June 24, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM EST. Free and open to all, this casual gathering brings together our congregation, neighbors, conference guests, and local elected officials for a night of connection and community spirit.

The conference opens with the Service of Holy Communion at 9:00AM EST. The day continues with the organization of the conference, the Episcopal Address, Presiding Elders' and Pastors' reports, the Lay Hour, and closes with an evening Christian Education Worship Service.
All Thursday activities at JWC-Southfield

A day centered on mission and memory, featuring the Missionary Convocation led by Supervisor L. Lynn Mitchell and a time of Memorial Moments honoring those we've lost. The afternoon includes conference business and committee reports, and the evening culminates in the Missionary Candlelight Worship Service.

The morning offers Christian Education workshops and a special Children & Youth Service. In the afternoon, we celebrate the Service of Ordination (at the Bishop's discretion) and complete remaining conference business.

We gather for Sunday School and a triumphant Closing Worship Service, at Lomax Temple AME Zion Church, with the sermon by Bishop Mitchell. The service concludes with the Commissioning and the reading of pastoral and other appointments.

TO ASSIST, JWC WILL HAVE FOOD TRUCKS STATIONED IN THE PARKING LOT EACH NIGHT, THAT CONFERENCE GUETS ARE ABLE TO PURCHASE FOOD ITEMS FROM.
